Richmond School

Richmond School is a community comprehensive school situated on the edge of the beautiful Yorkshire Dales, based in the market town of Richmond. This is certainly an exciting time in the history of Richmond School; a history that goes back nearly 700 years. With the recent refurbishment and new building, teachers and students now have facilities that rank as some of the best in the country, including subject classrooms and bases that are in close proximity to each other. There are approximately 1550 students on roll with 270 in the Sixth Form.

We currently have in excess of 200 applicants for next year's Year 12 and so this number is likely to grow considerably in September 2015. We are delighted that a recent focused Ofsted visit (January 2015) confirmed that we continue to be a good school, with leadership and management, and behaviour and safety, all deemed as 'Good'. This is particularly pleasing because the inspection took place under the new, tougher, criteria.
