Development of the college was a natural progression for Dunelm Associates Ltd which delivered education, training and consultancy for over 27 years throughout the UK in the public, private andcharitable sectors from Foundation to Senior Management level. Durham Open Learning College enables us to deliver a wide variety of training courses designed to help students study at a place, time and pace which suits individual needs. Courses are offered on-line and worldwide.
In Peterlee, the College re-located in 2009 into an exciting £36 million new build development. Needless to say, the complex is one of the most modern educational facilities in the region and onewhich staff, students and the public at large are justifiably proud of. Along with its specially designed state-of-the-art classrooms and work areas, the College also showcases a 500 seater sports arena and the area's only dedicated specialist theatre.
St. Wilfrid's is a Roman Catholic Specialist College in Mathematics and Computing, offering a broad and balanced curriculum, where each and every pupil is an equally valued member of ourcommunity. The culture of our school is based distinctively on Gospel values, which are reflected in everything we do.
Hatfield College Boat Club (HCBC) was founded in 1846 and has been progressing and expanding ever since. The club has enjoyed many successes over the years. Recently the Women's Squad has achievedconsiderable success under the coaching of Jamie Watson, qualifying for the Academic IVs at Women's Henley in 2013 and 2014.
Grey College Association is an organisation designed to keep past members (alumni) of Grey College in touch with and provide support to the College. Established in 1959 to support graduating membersof the college for those first few years, the original President was the Master of the day, Sydney Holgate. As the number of alumni grew, the Association expanded and in time Dr Holgate stood aside, making way for a number of Presidents over the last four decades.
I am extremely proud to introduce you to Dyke House Sports & Technology College - an outstanding and dynamic school. The latest OFSTED report describes Dyke House as "an outstanding school" statingthat "there are many reasons why the school is successful, the most significant of which are the exceptional leadership, first rate teaching and learning and excellent care, guidance and support."
Kelcie Bullock on Friday told her fellow Class of 2015 graduates that they chose to attend Middle College High School at Durham Technical Community College because they are mavericks. Lori Khan, whoteaches eleventh and twelfth grade science at Durham Tech Middle College High School, was named Durham Public Schools' teacher of the year. Ms. Khan's knowledge of content is unmatched, said school principal Charles Nolan.
Many employers recognise that their future lies in quality Apprenticeships. Hartlepool College of Further Education believes this too, and we're one of the biggest providers of Apprenticeships in theTees Valley and County Durham, supporting over approximately 900 Apprentices. Apprenticeships are a programme of structured learning and work experience encompassing almost all vocational areas. They offer trainees a broad spectrum of work and not just individual skills.
